A film could be made about Nabil Bentaleb's story of guarding "Lille".
Last summer, the 30-year-old representative of the Algerian national team suffered a heart attack while playing football, but medical professionals managed to pull him from the jaws of death.
Later, the athlete was fitted with a heart monitor, and his career faced serious danger.
However, last Wednesday, a medical committee granted the athlete permission to return to football.
"Lille" coach Bruno Genesio decided not to delay, and N. Bentaleb had the opportunity to showcase his talent in a match against "Rennes" club.
The visiting Lille players had a fatal lack of success - initially, Chuba Akpom failed to convert a penalty, and later a goal from the same player was disallowed after a VAR review.
However, in the 76th minute, after coming on as a substitute, N. Bentaleb made his mark - just four minutes later, he scored the first goal of the match, and then inspired by his teammate, C. Akpom doubled the score.
After a 2-0 victory, coach B. Genesio struggled to find the words:
"He deserved it. This is simply unforgettable, a wonderful story. Nabil's goal lifted us to the skies; it's just difficult to describe. These matches will remain in the club's, the season's records, and of course, in Nabil's own thoughts for eternity."
