An arbitrator from Argentina appointed to officiate the World Championship final

Referee of the 2018 World Cup final will be 43-year-old Nestor Pitana from Argentina. The Argentine has already refereed four matches in these world championships - twice in the group stage and twice in the knockout stage. Interestingly, N. Pitana has already had the opportunity to get acquainted with both finalists - he refereed the quarter-final match between Croatia and Denmark as well as the quarter-final between Uruguay and France. In total, the Argentine showed 12 yellow cards and awarded two penalty kicks in the four matches of the World Cup. The most important football match of this year in Moscow will take place on Sunday.
