An integration football tournament swept through Kaunas © Organizatorių

After the students' holidays, straight to the football field – the students eagerly started the year with a football tournament. On January 7th, teams competed for the prizes established by the "Automation Office" at the football stadium of the Kaunas Technology Vocational Training Centre's Social Services Department.

Football events are a great opportunity to spend time physically actively with group friends, colleagues, and like-minded individuals. Communication with different institutions and organizations is an excellent opportunity for everyone to get acquainted, promote cooperation, and pursue common goals by involving people with various disabilities and needs – said Giedra Sadauskienė, the head of the Social Services Department.

The first place in the tournament was claimed by the first team of the Social Services Department, who defeated the second team of the Social Services Department 4-1 in a tense match. The third place was taken by the Ringaudai "Team," who won a high-scoring match against the "Automation Office" team with a score of 4-3.

The top scorer was Ernestas Sakalas, who scored 14 goals, and the best goalkeeper was Ernestas Grybė, a player from the second team of the Social Services Department.

The prize-winning teams were awarded trophies established by the "Automation Office," as well as personal prizes presented by Ramūnas Švedas, the director of the "Automation Office."
