Ancelotti: Torres and Drogba are not competitors © EuroFootball.com

London strategist Carlo Ancelotti insists that Fernando Torres and Didier Drogba are not competitors.

Rumors persist that the Spaniard Torres, who joined the club on the last day of January, will push Drogba out of the team. This was confirmed in Monday's match against London's Fulham, where the African started on the bench.

"In my opinion, Drogba is not old," Ancelotti said. "Throughout his career, he hasn't had many injuries, he is motivated, and he wants to be at the top."

"This season Didier had problems because he was sick with malaria and was not in the best form for about a month and a half. But there is still time for him to become an important part of the team."

And he added, "It's wrong to say that they are competitors. Both players are collaborators. They need to work together and help the team. There should be cooperation among the players."
