In the next match, the country's vice-champion "Lyon" suffered another setback - losing to the mid-table team "Bastia". The only goal of the match was scored in the 69th minute by Brandao, and when Gilles Cioni was sent off in the 88th minute, the Lyon team could no longer equalize the score.
