Turin goalkeeper Marco Storari is convinced that he is more suitable for the role of the main team goalkeeper than Gianluigi Buffon.
In Sunday's Italian Serie A match against Roma, Storari repeatedly saved the 'old lady' team from shots that could have ended in goals.
When asked which shot was the hardest for him to stop, Storari replied: "Perhaps the hardest was to block Totti's shot. I reacted accurately to his attempt, but I also had a bit of luck. I am very happy with my performance, but the most important thing is that we won and are slowly returning to form," Storari explained.
"Only a blind man does not see how I play, and I hope Delneri is not blind. Would I move to Roma? I have never hidden the fact that I am a Roma fan, but I like Turin. I would like to stay here and earn a place in the main lineup."
Juventus coach Luigi Delneri did not avoid the question about Storari. The tactician is convinced that Buffon is a goalkeeper of a higher level. "I am not blind, Storari has a champion in front of him - Buffon," Delneri assured.
"I would like to thank Storari for his contribution in the match against Roma and hope he won't leave Juventus, even if he doesn't play."
Storari will decide on his future in the summer. His decision will depend on whether Buffon is sold or not.
