"Man Utd" team's new addition, forward Cristiano Ronaldo, has risen to the top of the list of the world's highest-paid players. "Forbes" reports that the 36-year-old veteran will earn a total of 125 million USD (before taxes) in a year, securing him the first place among all athletes. 70 million will come from his contract with the club, and another 55 million USD from contracts with sponsors. Dropping to second place is PSG newcomer Lionel Messi, who will earn the same amount within the team as Ronaldo but will receive slightly lower income from additional contracts (35 million USD).
