The English Premier League season has reached its final stretch, with candidates announced on Thursday vying for the Best Player of the Season award.

Fighting for the Premier League title, Manchester City and Arsenal have two players each in this list. From the "Cityzens," Phil Foden and Erling Haaland could win the award, while from the "Gunners," Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard are contenders.

Among the contenders are also Alexander Isak (Newcastle United), Cole Palmer (Chelsea), Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool), and Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa).

Candidates for the Best Young Player of the English Premier League season have also been announced.

In this category, up to four players could win, also contending for the overall Best Player of the Season prize - Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, Alexander Isak, and Cole Palmer.

In addition to them, Kobbie Mainoo (Manchester United), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), William Saliba (Arsenal), and Destiny Udogie (Tottenham) are in the running to become the best young player.
