The position of head coach of the Trinidad and Tobago national team will be taken by Wim Rijsbergen, who will replace Leo Beenhakker, who took over as the strategist of the Polish national team.

W. Rijsbergen was L. Beenhakker's assistant during this summer's World Cup, where debutant Trinidad and Tobago from the Caribbean Sea was one of the surprises of the tournament, but still had to withdraw after the group stage.

Anton Corneal and Jan van Deinsen will assist the Dutch, who represented their national team in the 1974 World Cup, while L. Beenhakker, coaching the Polish national team, will remain as an adviser.

"The Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation remains deeply grateful to Mr. Beenhakker for his work in raising the country's football and leading the team to the 2006 World Cup finals in Germany. We also wish him all the best in his new role with the Polish federation," - as written on the official website of the Trinidad and Tobago federation.
