The Lithuanian Anti-Doping Agency continues its cooperation with the Lithuanian Football Federation, during which anti-doping education activities are carried out in Lithuanian football.

Useful anti-doping training sessions were regularly conducted for both athletes and athlete support personnel. The education aimed at athletes, who not only start their sports career but also represent their club or national team, covers several key areas:

- introduction to athlete rights and responsibilities,

- ADAMS system,

- violations of anti-doping rules,

- disciplinary sanctions,

- doping control,

- therapeutic use exemption application process.

Based on UEFA recommendations and educational material, an anti-doping learning course for the LFF sports community has been developed on an electronic platform, which can be found here: https://www.bedopingo.lt/enrol/index.php?id=14.

During meetings, the education program was also attended by members of our national football teams - men's national team and futsal team, boys' U17, U19, and U21 teams, U19 boys' futsal team, as well as girls' U17 and U19 teams and national women's and women's futsal teams.

"We are very pleased with another year of successful cooperation with the Lithuanian Anti-Doping Agency. We have no doubt that both sides will gain more useful information and materials each year from this cooperation, so we hope to continue this program," concluded Regimantas Vasiliauskas, director of the LFF Sports Medicine Center.

In 2021, the project "Anti-Doping Education Activities in Lithuanian Football" was launched in Lithuania and is funded from UEFA's "HatTrick" program funds.

During the project, informational meetings with representatives of the Lithuanian Anti-Doping Agency are attended by players and staff of Lithuania's men's and women's national football and futsal teams, players from various age group national teams, Lithuanian clubs participating in UEFA competitions, and LFF Medical center specialists.

The aim of the UEFA Anti-Doping Education Program is to prevent intentional and unintentional doping-related violations.
