Even in this day and age, we can still witness impressive results in the highest levels of the Old Continent - just a few weeks ago in the Netherlands, PSV Eindhoven crushed Rotterdam's "Feyenoord" 10-0, and on Saturday in Scotland, Glasgow's "Celtic" showed no mercy to "Aberdeen" - the match ended with a slightly more modest result of 9-0.
By the way, the Lithuanian Andrius Velička also represents the "Aberdeen" team, but he did not appear on the field and remained on the bench.
Interestingly, both teams finished the match with ten men - "Celtic" representative Thomas Rogne and "Aberdeen" captain Paul Hartley were sent off the field.
For the winners, strikers Gary Hooper and Anthony Stokes each scored three goals.
The victory allowed "Celtic" to climb to the top of the standings, while "Aberdeen" is in 9th place out of 12 teams.
