The Madrid "Real" club community received another sad news.
On Thursday, the life of 73-year-old Goyo Benito was extinguished. The Spaniard played as a central defender in the past and represented the "Real" team for almost his entire career.
G. Benito spent a total of 13 seasons in the "Real" club and played 420 matches. During that time, he won six Spanish champions titles and five King's Cups.
G. Benito appeared in the Spanish national team jersey 22 times.
A few weeks ago, the "Real" club was shocked by the loss of former president Lorenzo Sanz. He died of coronavirus, while G. Benito, as reported, was suffering from another disease.
