reports that English fans who were desperate to attend the crucial competition not only pushed through security and demolished erected barriers. Spectators who had tickets revealed shocking scenes to journalists - many football fans managed to sneak into the arena simply by bribing the security checking tickets. According to press sources, money was being stuffed into the hands of employees, and the fact that these individuals did not even bother to put away the banknotes in their wallets illustrates the large number of illegally admitted fans. The sloppy security work is also evidenced by the fact that one illegal match viewer was able to sneak a knife into the arena, hidden in their hair.
