The Moroccan national team has created yet another sensation at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
In the quarter-final match, the Africans defeated the Portuguese team 1-0 and will play against the winner of the England-France pair in the semi-finals.
At the beginning of the match, the initiative was with the Portuguese, with a dangerous strike from J. Felix standing out among them.
The Moroccans tried to respond with counterattacks but were unable to create very threatening chances.
In the 42nd minute, the only goal of the match came when Y. En-Nesyri took advantage of a mistake by the Portuguese goalkeeper and directed the ball into the net - 1-0.
In the 51st minute, the European coach F. Santos decided to give a chance to forward C. Ronaldo, who appeared on the field after the substitution.
However, this did not help Portugal. Opportunities were wasted by G. Ramos, B. Fernandes, and J. Felix.
During extra time, Moroccan W. Cheddira received two yellow cards, but this gift from the opponents did not help Portugal - Moroccans won 1-0 and became the first African team to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup.
