Troubles never come alone. This was confirmed by the legendary Spanish player Iker Casillas, whose family was struck by another misfortune.
The wife of the former "Real" football player Sara Carbonero wrote on social media that she has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
"Before recovering from one shock, life has presented us with more surprises.
Immediately it is related to me, a word of seven letters that is hard to write.
A few days ago, during a health check-up, doctors found a malignant ovarian tumor and I underwent surgery," the woman wrote.
"Everything went well and we managed in time, but I will have to use appropriate treatment for a few more months.
I am calm and I believe everything will be fine. I feel the support from my family, friends, and my health is well taken care of by an excellent team of doctors," mentioned S. Carbonero.
The painful news reached the I. Casillas family just three weeks after the player's heart attack - he is currently undergoing rehabilitation.
