The French national team was forced to play without N'Golo Kante in the European Championship qualifying match.
In the starting lineup for the match against Iceland, the London Chelsea midfielder did not play a single minute - the Frenchman, feeling pain during warm-up, gave his place in the field to Moussa Sissoko.
As revealed by Didier Deschamps, these measures were taken for safety reasons.
"He felt pain in his thigh muscle," the strategist revealed. "He didn't feel comfortable playing. I made the decision because we didn't want any further consequences."
"I don't think the injury is serious, but I can't say for sure if he will be able to play in the match against Turkey," added D. Deschamps.
