Machačkalos "Anži" intends to offer a yearly salary of 11.7 million euros to London striker Didier Drogba. The club hopes to attract the footballer already this January when the transfer window opens.
The Ivory Coast national team star will become a free agent next summer, although club officials have hinted at wanting to keep him on the team. However, according to "Daily Mail," Drogba himself is inclined to stay in England, so he will first wait for an offer from "Chelsea."
"Anži" representatives do not hide their aim to acquire several more famous footballers playing in Europe. Samuel Eto'o, earning about 18 million euros per year, already plays for the Russian team, as well as another former "Chelsea" player Yuri Zhirkov.
