Legendary Italian midfielder Andrea Pirlo spoke about one of the hardest moments of his career.
In the 2005 Champions League final, he led AC Milan 3-0 against Liverpool, but the opponents sensationally equalized the result and eventually celebrated victory after penalty shootouts.
"At that moment, I thought about the end of my career," revealed the former footballer.
"The disappointment lingered until now, but you cannot turn back time.
We played one of the best halves, but later in seven minutes unexplainable things happened.
Although I thought about retiring, I later realized that I had to move forward."
