Retired guard Andrea Pirlo, enjoying his well-deserved rest, shared memorable moments of his career with the magazine "L'Equipe."
The legendary Italian talked about the pursuit of excellence and his connections with famous players around the world.
"In childhood, I used to kick a small ball and tried to make it stuck in the corner of the window after jumping over the couch.
"I played at AC Milan with David Beckham, Ronaldinho, Clarence Seedorf, who were excellent penalty takers.
We used to talk to each other and 'borrow' each other's secrets."
"I tried to analyze Brazilian Juninho's shots, explaining how he executes them. I constantly tried to refine my technique until I finally found my way to achieve the goal," said A. Pirlo.
"I always told myself that it is impossible not to score. Just throw the ball over the wall, and a goal will be achieved. In football, as in life, everything can be changed by a few millimeters."
