Ghana's national team and Turin defender Stephen Appiah should play in the Turkish football championship next season - the 24-year-old player is preparing to sign a contract with the champion club of this country.

The captain of the Ghana national team left the Turkish team for 8 million euros. According to Juventus sports director Luciano Moggi, Appiah became unnecessary for the team after they acquired Patrick Vieira from London last week.

It is worth mentioning that Appiah himself, after Vieira's arrival in Turin, stated that he wanted to continue his career in England, but now the player has chosen the weaker Turkish league.

However, according to English SkySports, Appiah has not yet signed a contract with the Turkish team, as he has received very tempting offers from England.

It is said that two "Premiership" clubs are seriously interested in the player - and , so it is quite possible that the player will choose one of them, despite the fact that Juventus and Fenerbahce have already agreed on the transfer fee of 8 million euros.
