Another famous club from the Old Continent may end up in the hands of wealthy individuals from the Middle East.
According to "Mundo Deportivo", the head of Madrid's "Atletico", Angel Gil Martin, who, together with the team's president Enrique Cerezo, controls 66% of the shares, intends to step back from the team.
Arab investors have immediately shown interest in acquiring the "La Liga" club.
In recent years, "Atletico" has been increasingly collaborating with Saudi Arabia.
The name of the company "Riyadh Air" adorns the team's jerseys, and the wealthy are urging to rename the "Metropolitano" stadium as well.
