After a disappointing performance at the World Cup, Diego Maradona offered to return to the helm of the Argentina national team for free.
Despite high hopes once again being placed on the "albiceleste", Jorge Sampaoli's team lost to France in the quarterfinals with a score of 4-3 and have already packed their bags.
The future of the current coach is completely uncertain, so the legendary Argentine striker wants to take advantage of the situation.
"I would do it for free," Maradona replied when asked by TeleSUR if he would like to become the strategist of the Argentina national team.
"I wouldn't ask for anything in return."
Prior to this, Maradona coached the younger generation of his compatriots at the 2010 World Cup, when they were defeated by Germany 4-0 in the quarterfinals.
