Armenia national team coach Arturas Petrosyanas says that Henrikh Mkhitaryan made a great decision by moving to London's Arsenal, as in Manchester he was "locked" in Jose Mourinho's game system.
Recently, Arsenal and Manchester United exchanged players - Alexis Sanchez, whose contract was until the end of the season, moved to Manchester, while H. Mkhitaryan put on the Arsenal team jersey.
A. Petrosyanas is convinced that his pupil made a good decision because Arsenal is a team that suits his playing style. The coach also emphasized that the attacking midfielder had serious problems with Jose Mourinho.
"Wenger likes it when his team plays beautiful football. I think he is a better coach for Miki than the previous one," said the Armenia national team coach.
"We are very happy with this transfer because Miki's playing style is more suited to the Arsenal team. I talked to Henrikh personally, but I cannot really reveal the details of the conversation, but after communicating with Miki, I was definitely disappointed with Mourinho.
I think Henrikh can still contribute a lot in the Premier League. He has always been one of the best players in this league, but with the right coach, he can be even more capable.
From what I have seen, Henrikh was liked by the Man Utd fans, which says something about the player. I am not happy with Jose's decision not to play Mkhitaryan, but everything is understandable - it is his club, he leads the team, so only he knows which players to use. But I will say this, I am happy that Miki left," Petrosyanas concluded.
