Arjen Robben, a forward for the Dutch national team, was disappointed with the loss against Argentina and stated that the South American team did not deserve a ticket to the final.
The Dutch and Argentine players clarified their relationship during the 120 minutes, but neither team managed to score a goal in two hours, and after the penalty shootout, Argentina secured the victory.
"Argentina did not deserve to win," said A.Robben. "They did not have many chances to score. The final? Germany proved to be stronger than their future opponents. There are more of my friends there, so I hope the Germans will win the World Cup."
The Bayern Munich player also acknowledges that the battle for third place is worthless, but they will still fight for victory against Brazil.
"To be honest, that is not the title that interests me. Of course, the team will fight for victory, but it is very sad that we fell short of the final by so little," A.Robben concluded.
