London's "Arsenal" official website announced the acquisition of promising 20-year-old defender Rob Holding from "Bolton Wanderers". The Englishman was named the best player of the Bolton team last season. After an excellent season, R. Holding did not go unnoticed and signed a long-term contract with the English vice-champions. Arsene Wenger hopes that next season R. Holding will be able to test his skills in the Premier League and compete with the main team defenders.

Meanwhile, another English team, "Liverpool," announced the arrival of 39-year-old former Austrian national team goalkeeper Alex Manninger to the club. The experienced goalkeeper wore the "Augsburg" jersey from 2012 until the end of last season. It was expected that A. Manninger would end his career this summer, but unexpectedly reached an agreement with "Liverpool." The goalkeeper will spend a season at Liverpool, and then most likely end his professional career. Interestingly, Liverpool already acquired goalkeeper Loris Karius this summer, and still has Simon Mignolet in the team. The veteran has previously played for "Arsenal" and Turin's "Juventus" teams.
