David Ornstein, a journalist from "BBC Sport," immediately shared new information from the "Arsenal" camp in London regarding Stephan Lichtsteiner's move.
According to his sources, the "Gunners" have already agreed on the transfer fee for Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno, which will be 22 million euros. The German still needs to undergo a medical examination.
However, it is not yet known whether the London club will have to bid farewell to veteran Petr Čech or to their main goalkeeper, David Ospina from the Colombian national team.
Meanwhile, the "Arsenal" defensive line should be reinforced by Genoa's "Sampdoria" player Lucas Torreira, as negotiations with the Italian club are already advanced. Nevertheless, they are somewhat hindered by the World Cup, where the 22-year-old player represents Uruguay.
The latest news seems to complicate talks about a new contract for Jack Wilshere.
More details about both Leno and Torreira transfers should be clarified in the coming days, but it is not yet clear when they will be officially announced.
Ornstein previously announced that the arrival of Borussia Dortmund defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos, which has already been agreed upon, will only be announced in July.
