On Tuesday, the quarterfinal stage of the English League Cup kicked off. London's "Arsenal" team advanced to the quarterfinals, defeating "Leeds" 2-0 at home. Both goals of the match came in the second half: Calum Chambers scored in the 55th minute, while Edward Nketiah scored in the 69th minute.
In other matches, London's "Chelsea" team secured a victory after a penalty shootout, defeating "Southampton" at home. "Chelsea" took the lead with a goal from Kai Havertz in the 44th minute, but Che Adams equalized for "Southampton" right after the break. The teams failed to score more goals in the remaining time and everything was decided in a penalty shootout, where the "aristocrats" performed more successfully.
