"Manchester United" and London's "Arsenal" are closely monitoring the situation of Leon Goretzka at Gelzenkirchen's "Schalke," "Bild" reported.
The 22-year-old footballer, who performed well with the German national team at the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup, has attracted interest from a host of other clubs, including "Barcelona" and Munich's "Bayern."
L. Goretzka has a contract with "Schalke" until next summer. The German team is trying to convince the player to sign a new contract, but he is not ready for it, and most likely "Schalke" will not receive a single cent for the promising player next summer.
L. Goretzka, who can play attacking and central defensive midfield positions, appeared in six matches this season and scored one goal.
