"Arsenal" could leave three safeties after the season

The English newspaper "Evening Standard" announces that London's "Arsenal" does not intend to offer new contracts to three of its defenders.

According to the source, club captain Mikel Arteta, long-time "gunner" member Tomas Rosicky, and Mathieu Flamini, who returned to London two years ago, no longer feature in coach Arsene Wenger's plans.

Arteta, who wore the "Arsenal" armband last season, played only seven matches in the Premier League, and this year he appeared in five out of eleven games.

Meanwhile, Rosicky will not be able to play due to a knee injury until at least the beginning of 2016, so it is not worth offering a new contract to the veteran after a difficult recovery.

Finally, Flamini, who played only two matches in the Premier League this season, is likely to free up a spot for a new purchase in the defensive midfielder position.
