In the Premier League match that took place on Sunday evening, London's Arsenal crushed the championship's underdogs Nottingham Forest with a score of 5:0.
The Gunners started the match superbly. Just 5 minutes into the game, after a high pass from Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli headed the ball into the near corner of the goal.
As the first half was coming to an end, one of Arsenal's leaders Bukayo Saka suffered an injury and had to be substituted. However, his replacement Reiss Nelson took advantage of his chance and scored two goals in the second half of the match. The Englishman scored in the 49th and 52nd minutes.
The hosts' midfielder Thomas Partey also contributed to the goals, with a fantastic shot from long range that "found the back of the net" from the upper corner of the goal, making the score 4:0.
Four goals were not enough for Mikel Arteta's proteges, and in the 78th minute, they added one more. Martin Odegaard defeated the opponents' goalkeeper with a great shot.
After these matches, Arsenal reclaimed the top position on the league table, leading Manchester City by two points. Meanwhile, Forest currently sits at the bottom of the table, with two points separating them from the safe zone.
