In the first match of the Premier League, the London Arsenal footballers won their second consecutive victory. They defeated Brighton & Hove Albion.
As usual, Arsene Wenger's players dominated ball possession from the very beginning. However, the opponents defended themselves highly organized and Nacho Monreal scored the first goal for the Gunners after a penalty kick in the penalty area.
After this episode, Arsenal relaxed a bit and shortly after, the result could have been equalized by a great shot from Solly March, but it went wide. The favorites of the match truly had something to celebrate, as Alexandre Lacazette scored the second goal from a similar position in the penalty area in the 2nd minute.
After the break, the capital club's star Alexis Sanchez stepped up and began to terrorize Brighton's defense with individual skills. All this ended with a successful pass to Alex Iwobi, and a few moments later, his own shot was saved from the goal line by Lewis Dunk. A similar fate befell Sead Kolasinac's header after a corner kick.
The Gunners eventually won 2-0 and moved up to fifth place. They outperformed the defending champion, London Chelsea, who lost yesterday to the leader Manchester City.
In the second match of the day, Everton, who started the season poorly, lost at home to Burnley.
The Toffees had significantly more attacks, but the opponents demonstrated their excellent defense as usual, and Jeff Hendrick scored a precise goal.
Thanks to this accurate shot, Sean Dyche's players now climbed to tenth place in the Premier League table, while Everton ranks ten positions below.
This evening there will be a match between Newcastle United and Liverpool.
