At the beginning of January, Aleksandr Kokorin, who dominated London's "Arsenal" club, will continue his career in Russia - the striker moved to the "Zenit" team.
Together with Kokorin, Yuri Zhirkov also moves from Moscow's "Dynamo" to the "Zenit" team. The team had already signed an agreement with Zhirkov, who can play as a left-back or left winger, to join the team from July, but the St. Petersburg team decided to acquire this player for an undisclosed amount earlier.
The 24-year-old Kokorin spent almost his entire career at "Dynamo" club. In the summer of 2013, he moved to the "Anzhi" team for 19 million euros, but after just a few months, without even making his debut for his new team, he returned to the Moscow club for the same amount. Currently, there is no information on how much this time the Russian national team player cost the "Zenit" team.
This season in the Russian Premier League, Kokorin played eight matches and scored four goals. In eight years, veteran Zhirkov took to the field in eighteen Russian championship matches but did not score any goals.
