World champion Christoph Kramer has tied his future with the Leverkusen team.
Currently on loan from Borussia Monchengladbach, the 23-year-old midfielder has signed a contract with Bayer until the end of the 2018/2019 season.
In April, it was reported that Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger had been sending scouts to watch the promising player's games, with the latest rumors linking the German to a Premier League team during the January transfer window.
"After a conversation with Bayer executives, I decided to agree to a new contract. I like the team, the coach, and the whole organization," said Kramer.
"I have been with the club since finishing the academy and always dreamed of defending the main team's colors."
