The leaders of the English championship played a goalless draw in London, extending their record of 32 consecutive unbeaten league matches.

In a defensive type of match, both teams played cautiously and did not create very dangerous moments. Early on, Craig Bellamy's shot was well saved by Jens Lehmann, at the end of the first half Sylvain Wiltord, returning from injury, missed good opportunities, and in the second half Thierry Henry and Jose Reyes also failed to score.

Arsenal now leads the standings with seven points ahead of Chelsea players in second place, who also played a draw yesterday. Newcastle and Liverpool are tied for 4-5 places with 49 points each.
