London's Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud is happy that in his debut season his statistics are better than Robin van Persie's when he joined the Gunners.
At the beginning of the season, the French national team striker did not show good performance, but recently he has been playing better and has already scored 14 goals in 34 matches.
Meanwhile, former Arsenal striker scored 10 goals in his first season, so O. Giroud is happy with his statistics, even though he understands that the Dutchman was only 21 at the time.
"I don't know of a striker who is not interested in his statistics. Since the start of the season, I have scored 14 goals and made 11 assists. It's a better debut than van Persie's, even though he was younger back then," said the Frenchman optimistically.
O. Giroud moved to London's Arsenal last summer from the then French champions Montpellier. The Gunners paid around 12 million pounds sterling for O. Giroud.
