London hopes to complete the transfer of sixteen-year-old defender Theo Walcott, considered one of the most promising English players, today (Friday).
"We are fighting for this player, but until the contract is signed, I cannot talk about it," said Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger to journalists. "However, we hope to finalize everything within the next 24 hours."
The player himself, T. Walcott, considered the most promising English player after Manchester United star Wayne Rooney, has expressed his desire to move to Arsenal if he leaves Southampton, who currently play in the second division. This young defender reacted to an offer from Chelsea in London.
The media reports that Southampton would receive around £12 million for this transfer.
