After finishing the week with some big purchases, London's "Arsenal" is preparing for another shake-up in the market.
BBC journalist David Ornstein announces that the "gunners" will soon finalize a record deal for the acquisition of "Lille" winger Nicolas Pepe.
According to the journalist, "Arsenal" has agreed to pay the requested sum of 80 million euros to "Lille". The London club only needs to reach a final agreement with the player's agent.
"Napoli" has also reached an agreement with "Lille", but N. Pepe's agent has already rejected the possibility of moving to Italy.
Arsenal offered the promising Ivory Coast national team member a five-year contract. He has been promised an annual salary of 6.5 million euros.
N. Pepe appeared 41 times on the field with "Lille" last season, scoring 23 goals and providing 13 assists.
Ornstein emphasizes that this deal will hinder Arsenal's ability to strengthen their defense, but Unai Emery is not too worried as Hector Bellerin and Rob Holding have returned to the squad after injuries.
The real target for the "gunners" remains right-back Kieran Tierney from Glasgow's "Celtic".
