Journalist David Ornstein of "The Athletic" reports that Arsenal are nearing an agreement with Brighton to acquire center-back Ben White. The Gunners are currently offering £45 million guaranteed for the 23-year-old Englishman, plus £5 million in bonuses. However, Brighton has been insisting on £50 million guaranteed from the start. Nevertheless, the £5 million difference should not be an issue. Negotiations are still ongoing on how this sum will be paid, most likely not all in one year, and discussions on bonuses are also taking place between the clubs. Ben White is considered one of the most promising English center-backs of his generation, having played in the Premier League for the first time last season with Brighton, after previously playing for Leeds United. Currently, the Englishman is representing the England national team in the European Championship.
