London's "Arsenal" does not intend to passively watch as one of their best footballers, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, quietly talks to other clubs.
The "Gunners" have decided to open their wallet wider and offered the midfielder a new contract with a weekly salary of 180,000 pounds.
However, the "Chelsea" team seems to have different plans, as they are convinced that by September they will be able to confirm a deal for the player's transfer, reports "The Telegraph".
According to the press, the Englishman has already informed the "Arsenal" executives that he wants to leave.
Chamberlain's value in the player market is around 35 million pounds.
If the teams fail to reach an agreement, the midfielder would become a free agent next summer.
