London's "Arsenal" attacking leader Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is soon to be rewarded with a new contract.
The Gabonese striker, who joined the "Gunners" in winter 2018, has already scored eight goals in ten matches this season. Last season, the forward scored 31 times in 51 games.
The 30-year-old's performance has satisfied the "Arsenal" team, who have been negotiating with his representatives for several months. According to "Gazetta dello Sport," the negotiations are at a final stage.
Currently, P. Aubameyang's contract is valid for two more years, but the new agreement would keep him in the "Gunners" ranks until 2023.
After the contract renewal, the footballer's weekly salary will slightly increase, currently around 200,000 pounds sterling.
"Arsenal" paid 56 million pounds sterling to Borussia Dortmund for his services.
