"Sutton United" coach Paul Doswell revealed that their opponent in the FA Cup, London's "Arsenal," promised to support the club with a sum of 50,000 pounds sterling.
"The Gunners" defeated the fifth-league representatives yesterday with a score of 2-0, but their strategist called it a moral victory.
"Arsenal" were fantastic and, we believe, they will help us improve our class", Doswell said.
"They promised us 50,000 pounds, and with that, we can buy two classes. This is a wonderful gesture for which we are very grateful."
Despite the magical performance in the tournament, there is truly something for "Sutton United" to celebrate.
"I really wanted us to score a goal for our fans. One of my little goals was to play better than "Southampton" and we did it. They lost 5-0, and we lost 2-0, so in my eyes, it is a moral victory."
