"Arsenal" solved problems with "Chelsea" team in the first half

At 19:30 in the English Premier League, the most anticipated match between two London clubs took place.

Arsenal hosted Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium. In the first half, the "Gunners" had a successful period and demonstrated superiority over their neighbors, returning to the battle for the top four.

Arsenal players started the match powerfully. Unai Emery's team did not think about defense and actively pressed the visitors in their own half.

The active play of the Gunners soon paid off - in the 14th minute, Hector Bellerin sent the ball into the penalty area, where Alexandre Lacazette stopped it perfectly and led the hosts ahead with a powerful shot from a sharp angle.

Even after conceding a goal, Chelsea had no answer for their opponents. In the 39th minute, fans at the Emirates Stadium rose from their seats again as the defensive duo allowed the hosts to gain a two-goal advantage. After a pass from Sokratis, Laurent Koscielny sent the ball into Kepa's goal.

At the end of the first half, the Blues had the best chance to reduce the deficit, but Marcos Alonso's header missed the target - hitting the crossbar.

In the second half, Chelsea's play intensified, but it did not guarantee a better result in front of the goal - Arsenal successfully defended in the remaining 45 minutes and celebrated a crucial victory.

Earning three points, the North London club returned to fifth place and reduced the gap to three points from their Chelsea neighbors. Man Utd are also behind the Blues by the same margin.

Result:

Arsenal 2 - 0 Chelsea

14' [1 - 0] A. Lacazette

39' [2 - 0] L. Koscielny
