London's "Arsenal" footballers today defeated Liverpool's "Everton" at the Singapore National Stadium and triumphed in the "Premier League Asia Trophy" tournament.
In the semi-finals, the "Gunners" crushed a team made up of Singaporean players with a score of 4-0. The victory was led by Chuba Akpom's hat-trick and a goal from Jack Wilshere.
The "Toffees" on the other hand made it to the final by winning in a penalty shootout against "Stoke City". The "Potters" today won the match for third place with a score of 2-0.
In the final, the "Arsenal" team began to show their dominance from the start of the match and after Theo Walcott's goal, they took the lead in the 21st minute. In the second half, Santi Cazorla doubled the lead, followed by another goal from Mesut Ozil.
In the 76th minute, Liverpool's consolation goal was scored by Ross Barkley.
