The London "Arsenal" team, looking to strengthen their attacking line, attempted to acquire "Aston Villa" club forward Ollie Watkins.

As reported by journalist Fabrizio Romano, the "Gunners" submitted a £60 million offer for the England international striker, but it was rejected.

The "Aston Villa" club was also outraged that the offer for one of their leaders was made just before the crucial UEFA Champions League match.

"Arsenal's" chances are significantly reduced by the fact that "Aston Villa" agreed to sell another of their forwards, Jhon Duran.

O. Watkins' current contract is valid until the summer of 2028.
