One of the best defenders in the Premier League, Matthew Cash, has extended his contract with Aston Villa. On Monday evening, Aston Villa officially announced that they have extended the contract with the Polish national team defender for another five years, until 2027. During the January transfer window, rumors surfaced that M. Cash was also of interest to Atletico Madrid and they planned to acquire him in the near future. However, these plans of the "mattresses" may be slightly delayed. Matty recently obtained Polish citizenship due to his Polish roots. The defender has already helped the national team in the World Cup qualifiers, which ended successfully, securing a ticket to the World Cup in Qatar. 24-year-old M.
