Birmingham's "Aston Villa" announced that due to a knee injury, defender Jordan Amavi will not be able to play in the team until the end of the season.
Representing the French national team in the European U21 Championship qualifier against Northern Ireland, the front cruciate ligaments were damaged.
Amavi's loss will further complicate the work of new coach Remi Garde in trying to maintain the club in the Premier League. Birmingham's team currently occupies the last place in the league.
The defender joined "Aston Villa" from "Nice" this summer and immediately became a starting player. He has played in 12 matches in all competitions so far.
