Only one goal was scored in the match, and as it later turned out, that was enough for "Panevėžys" to achieve victory against Telšiai's "Džiugas" – the showdown ended with a score of 1:0 (1:0).

In the 13th minute, Aminas Bechaibas provoked a foul by Ibrahimo Cisse in the penalty area, but the player himself failed to convert his chance from the 11-meter mark – the ball hit the goalpost. The Moroccan corrected his mistake in the 37th minute when, after a great pass from Pavle Radunović, A. Benchaibas found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper and this time was accurate.

As the first half was nearing its end, the duo of Domantas Vaičekauskas and Roberto Mazanis created another danger, while Christian Bella responded with a long-range shot; in both situations, the goalkeepers of the teams played confidently.

The second half of the match began with a dangerous attempt from P. Radunović; after a minimal deflection, the ball flew past the goal. In the 53rd minute, the Serb made a good pass to D. Vaičekauskas, who outsmarted his opponent and took a good shot, which was saved by Marius Paukštė. A bit later, the goalkeeper also defended against Cheikhou Dieng's shot.

In the 66th minute, Sergėjus Kulynyčius could have equalized the score, but the ball flew completely past the post. Towards the end of the match, Ch. Bella had a golden opportunity to score, but after a scramble near the "Panevėžys" goal, it turned out that the Cameroonian was offside. Nino Noordanus posed a threat at the last moment, but Vytautas Černiauskas demonstrated his skills.
