FIFA came up with a way to further raise the level of the so-called "football giants."
At the end of March, tournaments of the "FIFA Series" will take place in four countries, where national teams from all over the world will compete.
In Saudi Arabia, battles of two groups will be held.
Meanwhile, the remaining matches will be played in Algeria, Azerbaijan, and Sri Lanka.
As FIFA President Gianni Infantino mentioned, the main goal is to take advantage of the open window in the international calendar and thus give weaker teams the opportunity to get acquainted with the peculiarities of football in other countries.
"FIFA Series" groups:
Algeria: Algeria, South Africa, Bolivia, Andorra.
Azerbaijan: Azerbaijan, Mongolia, Bulgaria, Tanzania.
Saudi Arabia A: Greenland, Cambodia, Equatorial Guinea, Guyana.
Saudi Arabia B: Bermuda, Brunei, Guinea, Vanuatu.
Sri Lanka: Sri Lanka, Central African Republic, Papua New Guinea.
