On Tuesday, the 14th round of the "SMScredit.lt A Lyga" started in Lithuania, with two matches played.
The first meeting took place in the city of Marijampolė, where the local team "Sūduva" clashed with Klaipėda's "Atlantas". After a fierce battle, the teams parted ways with a 1-1 draw.
The Marijampolė team took the lead first, when Mindaugas Grigaravičius scored in the 10th minute of the match.
However, towards the end of the match, "Sūduva's" efforts hit a snag. In the 84th minute, Vilmantas Bagdanavičius committed a foul in the goalkeeper's area, and Marius Papšys converted the penalty kick.
For the remaining time, the Klaipėda visitors pressed the opponents, gaining a quantitative advantage, but ultimately the result remained 1-1.
"Atlantas" earned one point and remains in second place, but Pakruojo "Kruoja" will have the opportunity to move up to second place after this round.
In other matches, "Trakai" broke through the defense of the "Šiauliai" team in the second half and celebrated a victory with a score of 0-2.
