At the end of the match, "Tottenham" mistakenly handed victory to "Liverpool" team

On Sunday evening, an intriguing match of the 32nd round took place in the English Premier League. The title-contending Liverpool welcomed the Tottenham team from London at Anfield stadium.

Jurgen Klopp's players secured a dramatic victory until the last minutes with a score of 2:1, allowing them to temporarily return to the first position in the league table.

The match started fairly evenly. Liverpool players had more possession of the ball and created a few sharper attacks towards Hugo Lloris' goal.

The first goal did not take long to arrive - in the 16th minute Roberto Firmino directed the ball into the opponent's goal after a magnificent pass from Andrew Robertson.

In the second half, Tottenham had no choice but to push forward, activating their attacks. Liverpool slightly retreated to defense, allowing the guests from London to feel the game even more.

In the 70th minute, Harry Kane sent the ball to Christian Eriksen, who passed to Lucas Moura in the penalty area, and he equalized with a powerful shot, leaving the goalkeeper alone.

Throughout the remainder of the match, Tottenham created several good opportunities but failed to capitalize on them. Moussa Sissoko notably failed to score with Son and Virgil van Dijk.

The rule "if you don't score, you get scored on" proved true in this match - in the 90th minute, Mohamed Salah headed the ball towards goal, which Hugo Lloris saved, but the ball rebounded from Toby Alderweireld's legs into the net, giving Liverpool a dramatic victory.

With 79 points, Liverpool climbs to first place. Manchester City has played one less match so far.

For Tottenham, sitting in the third spot, this was their fourth defeat in the last five games.
